I AM PLEASED

“To those who use well what they are given, even more will be given, and they will have an abundance. But from those who do nothing, even what little they have will be taken away.” Matthew 25:29

What Satisfies me brings me Pleasure.

When you think about your life and compare the good times with the bad, are you more Satisfied than not? I know for me, I definitely have things that I’m still chasing after and want more for myself, but for the most part I’m pretty satisfied with what I’ve got going on. Now, living a Satisfied life absolutely has it’s ups and downs. My upstairs neighbors make me want to scream sometimes with the marathons they like to run over my head when I’m writing. And I haven’t reached the pinnacle of my full potential just yet (I’m striving for it, though!). But there are still things in my life that bring me so much Satisfaction that I can’t help but be content. I love the work that I do, my friends are great, my relationship with my sister is amazing, I talk to my mother every day and my little heartbeats (the nieces and nephews) keep me smiling all the time. These areas in my life bring me so much Pleasure that I cherish and care for them in a special way.

What about you? What in your life Satisfies you and brings you Pleasure? And are you doing what you can to take care of it? Are you treating the people who make you happy with kindness and generosity? Do you work hard at the job that brings you joy so it can continue to do? Or are you possibly taking them for granted and sleeping on then Pleasure it could be bringing? There’s a parable in the bible, in Matthew about a man who gives money to his servants and they do different things with it and are rewarded (or punished) according to their work. And one of the last scriptures in that passage says “To those who use well what they are given, even more will be given, and they will have an abundance. But from those who do nothing, even what little they have will be taken away.” (Matthew 25:29) If you can’t find Pleasure in what IS Satisfying you… how can you expect to keep it?

Taking for granted what’s Satisfying will lead to a life of Displeasure.

Let me affirm you today. I AM PLEASED. Be pleased with the things that are pleasing! Don’t think that everything has to be perfect and put together in order for your life to have Pleasure Points. When you remind yourself that you ARE pleased with some of the things in your life and cherish those things and do right by them, more prosperity will be directed your way. Remind yourself often of the things that make you smile. Keep a list, talk to trusted individuals, and even go to therapy to work it out with a therapist the reasons you might not be finding pleasurable and satisfying things in your life. They can help you work through a reframing of your mindset. Remember, a new way of looking at things can make all the difference. I love you, and as always, I’m rooting for you! Keep conquering daily!
