I AM DESERVING

“Those who look to him for help will be radiant with joy; no shadow of shame will darken their faces.” Psalm 34:5

I Deserve this Happy, no matter what else is going on.

Walking in Happiness can be difficult when you don’t think you deserve it. And despite all the smiles you see walking down the street, this is a mask for many a face out there. Where does that come from? It can come from many places. Maybe there’s some guilt for something they did in life. Maybe they weren’t raised in a loving home where happiness was experienced on a regular basis. Maybe they’re dealing with anxiety or depression or some other mental illness that makes Happiness harder to obtain. Whatever the reason, there are too many people walking through life without Happiness as a faithful companion. At least they don’t know it’s there. So how do you access Happiness, even when you don’t think you can? Hopefully these affirmations can make that just a little more obtainable for you.

Affirmation 1: You are Deserving. Understand that Happiness is a right, because it is the will of God for our lives. He WANTS us to be happy and to experience joy, therefore it is ours. The bible tells us “Those who look to him for help will be radiant with joy; no shadow of shame will darken their faces.” (Psalm 34:5) Meaning, if we seek that higher power, and the will of God, not only will joy (happiness) radiate from us, but the shadow of shame won’t even be able to darken our faces. Be a child of the most high and accept His will for Happiness in your life.

Affirmation 2: Happiness belongs to you. As I have stated before in earlier writings, Happiness is an emotion and we have a right to every emotion. If God didn’t want us to feel these things, he wouldn’t allow them to be so easily obtainable. So walk in the truth that Happiness belongs to you and you deserve to enjoy any and everything that belongs to you.

Affirmation 3: Happiness walks with you, let it take control sometimes. Now we all know that it’s unrealistic for one emotion to be chief of our mind all the time, but it’s just as unrealistic to think there’s an emotion that should never be present, especially the one that brings joy into our lives. So take this moment to accept that Happiness is always there, always obtainable, always ready to enter the driver seat and make your days better instead of worse. You just have to let it. And if you’re keeping Happiness at bay because you don’t think you deserve it, release yourself from the idea that being happy has guilt tied to it. You don’t have to feel guilty for experiencing happiness.

Everyday I can conquer the guilt of being Happy.

My friends, today I speak Happiness over you and your life. I give you permission to put away guilt, and embrace happiness and what that means for your life. Embrace the truth that Happiness is a life companion that will never leave you, but will always be just a fingertip away. If you are struggling to access your happiness, I encourage you to talk to someone about that, to open yourself up to that access point, and to work through those barriers keeping you from the will of God for your life. Embrace Happiness. Embrace Love. Embrace Deserving. Embrace You. I love you, and as always, keep conquering daily.
